Didn't this happen last year?
Seems this tournament is cursed when it comes to Mother Nature and her ability to create rain in early June when all of Kennewick wants to play baseball. As a result, two Minor/Minor-B games were called in the second inning due to rain and lightning. Neither game was legal, and as a result, each game will be replayed fully on Thursday evening.
Minor/Minor-B Game 10 (Culligan vs. Trophy Shoppe) will move to Kennewick American's Field #2 at 7:15pm. Game 12 (The Informed Vegan vs. Three Rivers Physical Therapy) will move to Kennewick National Field #1 at the conclusion of the Major-70 game. We expect that game to begin about 7:30pm.
To allow ample time for Game 10, the Major-70 game 4 (Zips-Cable Bridge vs. Conner Construction) will be moved to a 5pm start time. And at Kennewick National, Major-70 Game 3 (Red Apple and KPMA) will also move to a 5pm start time.
We know the changes are inconvenient for everyone, however their isn't any makeup time built into the schedule. We were fortunate the early games were able to be played and didn't need to be rescheduled.
It's worth noting for the Minor-Minor-B coaches involved that the games will be restarted as if the never started. All pitching and innings played for the two games is wiped clean and will start over. If you have specific questions regarding how this will affect your team, please contact one of us on the Tournament Committee.
We appreciate your patience as we work to get all the games played.
