After Mother Nature unleashed her fury on us Wednesay night, we were able to get caught up with our rescheduled games by Thursday night. It was a complete team effort to do so, and thanks goes out to all the teams affected by the rainout. Despite the last minute changes, everyone was positive about the changes in location and game times.
I just happened upon the almanac for June 1st, and the official report is 1.14" of rain fell on Wednesday. Considering it didn't start raining until early evening, that's a lot of rain to fall in about four hours time. Considering we are in the desert and get about 6-8 inches of precipitation annually, that's about 15-20% of the annual total in one evening's time.
And of course, it had to come during the City Tournament.
